Retail projects are unique in that they can be a "bee hive" of activity, unlike any other building type. With grand opening dates, last-minute changes, landlord work, tenant work, fixture contractors, and even multiple prime contactors on site, it all makes for a hectic pace. Stahl's systematic approach to the building process keeps everything organized and running smoothly, both in the office and in the field. The changes get made, the work gets done, the billings go where they're supposed to go, and the grand opening happens right on cue. Life is good and it's on to the next project.
The Outlets at Albertville phase I consisted of a 250,000 SF-retail facility housing 65 individual tenant spaces. In less than one year, Stahl re-routed a creek, laid a road through a swamp, added wetlands, corrected over 50 acres of marshland soil, and built an enormous mall, which is equivalent to 5 football fields, with 15 football fields of parking. Stahl also finished 80% of the tenant space at the mall.
Phase II added 60,000 SF to the existing facility.
Utilizing pre-cast panel systems on both phases of the project allowed Stahl to streamline the schedule, saving the owner time and money.
Stahl has worked with JMJ Properties on previous outlet mall projects in Colorado, Missouri and Wisconsin.
