Channel 5 Eyewitness News: Work Begins in St. Louis Park Ahead of SWLRT Extension

Work started on a planned mixed-use development at the future sight of St. Louis Park’s light rail stop. PLACE (Projects Linking, Art, Community and Environment), the project’s developer, announced an additional $850,000 money from the Metropolitan Council Wednesday.

The project will bring a hotel, housing, retail and co-working spaces to the corner of Wooddale Avenue and 36th Street. That’s where a planned Southwest LRT line from downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie will have a station.
