Below are the firms that had the largest percent-change increase and the largest percent-change decrease year over year and the reasons why. For Twin Cities-based firms, companywide revenue was used. For those based elsewhere, only metro-area revenue was used.

2015 revenue: $75 million
2016 revenue: $113.8 million
One-year revenue change: +52 percent
Why the change: Stahl said it’s been aggressive at landing jobs and operates more efficiently than other construction companies. The company’s Iowa division has seen strong growth, too, although Stahl said it doesn’t expect to continue this growth rate.
