Word-of-the-Month: Punch List
A punch list is a checklist of items on a construction project that do not conform to contract specifications; items that are unfinished, incomplete, or require repair or replacement. A punch list is created in the final phases of construction or at the time of substantial completion. Once the punch list items are agreed upon the subcontractors make the adjustments and repairs in a timely manner.
The official punch list is created as the project team walks through the site and notes deficiencies and/or issues. Stahl Construction creates a “pre-punch” list of issues we’ve found, and we work to have all of those issues dealt with before the walk through; minimizing work at the conclusion of a project and ensuring our work is done according to the agreed upon schedule.
Stahl Construction is currently in the process of completing the punch lists for the three sections (A, B and exterior) of Ave Maria Academy in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Ave Maria Academy is a new Pre-K through 8th grade accredited Roman Catholic school.
