Council Bluffs Public Works    |    new construction

Stahl is the general contractor for this new, 47,000 SF building in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The building will house Council Bluff's Public Works street, sewer, and traffic maintenance personnel and equipment; includse a 10,000 SF Vehicle Wash Facility and Fuel Island Station. This new facility will consolidate the space of 8 existing buildings and sheds into one central location.

Sustainable elements include the use of reflective roofing, locally manufactured precast wall panels, in-floor radiant geothermal heat, storm water management systems, incorporation of natural day lighting and energy efficient hi-bay lighting, locally produced masonry wall materials, recycled materials (featured in carpet, tile, toilet partitions and lockers), and insulated garage doors.
