Council Bluffs Public Works    |    new construction

Stahl contracted with the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, to complete construction of its new 47,000-SF public works building. The building consolidates the operations of eight existing buildings and sheds into one central location, making those operations more efficient for the City.

Sustainable elements include the use of reflective roofing, locally manufactured precast wall panels, in-floor radiant geothermal heat, storm water management systems, incorporation of natural day lighting and energy efficient hi-bay lighting, locally produced masonry wall materials, recycled materials (featured in carpet, tile, toilet partitions and lockers), and insulated garage doors.
