Stahl Construction Green Projects

Let's look at the green facts. According to a recent EPA study, commercial buildings account for 39% of total energy use, 12% of total water consumption, 68% of total electricity consumption, and 38% of carbon-dioxide emissions. Being environmentally friendly is the "right" thing to do. Is it really that difficult? Does it really cost that much? Can you really afford not to? The answers are no, no, and no. We don't want you to be sad and "blue" down the road because you didn't go "green" when you had the chance.

Mpls Police - 3rd Precinct    |    addition / renovation

For this 40,000-SF occupied addition / renovation project, Stahl was hired as the general contractor. Upon completion, three stories were added including locker rooms, athletic training and a weight lifting area, mechanical spaces, offices, and a kitchen / dining area. In addition, offices were renovated and the lobby was updated to include bullet proof glass.

Environmentally friendly materials and systems include a seat made out of recycled money mixed with resin, solar preheat panels on the south-side of the building to warm the air prior to using gas heat, and recycled plastic handrails.
