Retail projects are unique in that they can be a "bee hive" of activity, unlike any other building type. With grand opening dates, last-minute changes, landlord work, tenant work, fixture contractors, and even multiple prime contactors on site, it all makes for a hectic pace. Stahl's systematic approach to the building process keeps everything organized and running smoothly, both in the office and in the field. The changes get made, the work gets done, the billings go where they're supposed to go, and the grand opening happens right on cue. Life is good and it's on to the next project.
As general contractor, Stahl has completed two renovation projects for Flagship Bank.
The Eden Prairie site included renovations to 5,600 SF. The main lobby was completely remodeled by removing a flat roof section between two opposing shed roofs and raising the roof to align with the existing sheds creating a dramatic vaulted space, lit by clerestory windows. The exterior facade was enhanced with stone veneer and the siding stained a new, distinct color. Construction occurred while the building was occupied and open to the public.
The Wayzata site included renovations to 5,400 SF. The facility features glass entry doors that pivot 180 degrees (versus the typical 90 degrees) and new finishes with special care to maintain the original character.
