When the Lakeville Baseball Boosters needed a general contractor to lead the charge on construction efforts for a new $30,000 two-level concession stand, it was Stahl Construction who stepped up to the plate.
“When there’s a need that’s identifiable, and we have the opportunity to do something about it, we really try and help out,” Clark Evans, Stahl project manager said, adding that employees with Stahl’s sister company, Tekton Construction, also provided labor for the project.
Prior to Stahl joining the team, the Lakeville Baseball Boosters experienced a number of roadblocks and challenges over the past 18 months with site limitations, costly plan revisions, and donation commitments falling through. The project officially began on April 30th and was completed less than three weeks later on May 18th.
Evans said when Stahl’s Vice President Scott Everson, a Lakeville resident, suggested the project to the company’s Corporate Giving Committee, it was an easy decision to team up for the project.
“We have a long relationship with the people of ISD 194, Lakeville,” Evans said.
The goals of Stahl’s Corporate Giving Committee are to support projects and organizations that positively impact the image of the company in the community, enhance employee relations, keep the community vital, and achieve results within the organizations that receive contributions.
