Stahl Construction recently completed $10-million of upgrades to Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN. Improvements include a new paved trail system, reconstruction of the island foot bridge, updates to the existing park maintenance facility, a complete overhaul of the park's main entrance and parking lot, and a new visitor center. Stahl was the project’s construction manager.
The project utilizes a number of green technologies including an energy-efficient geo-thermal heating / cooling system, smart lighting in the visitor center, eco-friendly permeable pavements, rain gardens, and bioswales throughout the park.
Sliverwood Park, part of the Three Rivers Park District, is now open to the public. A formal grand opening ceremony is planned for Saturday, September 26th.
