University of Minnesota Duluth | new construction
When complete, this 34,000-SF, two-story, state-of-the-art teaching / training center will house UMD's new civil engineering prgram. The building will adjoin Voss Kovach Hall (home of the mechanical and industrial engineering programs) and will feature specialized teaching and research laboratories.
Two of the six laboratories will be two-stories in height with full glass walls and promote "Engineering on Display", which showcases to viewers what civil engineers actually do.
Upon completion, the project will seek LEED Gold certification.
