Silverwood Park

Among the improvements were a new paved trail system, a modern new 18,000 SF visitor’s center with concessions and a 260-seat main hall, reconstruction of the island foot bridge, updates to the existing park maintenance facility, a complete overhaul of the park’s main entrance and parking lot, and an outdoor amphitheater for up to 1,000 people to enjoy performances of dance, theater, and music.

The project adhered to the State of Minnesota’s Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond (B3) guidelines for sustainability.

This project received the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Best in Real Estate Award, the Minnesota Construction Association Project Achievement Award and the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Design Award of Excellence among others.
