Urban Research & Outreach Center

This project consisted of the renovation of an abandoned retail center in North Minneapolis into a new University facility housing several community / University partnership programs as well as UROC administrative offices.

The project adhered to the State of Minnesota’s Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond (B3) guidelines for sustainability.

Stahl exceeded WMBE goals of 30%, with 38% actual participation and received the University of Minnesota AIR Stellar Award as the General Contractor of the Year through the University’s Office for Business & Community Economic Development.

This project also received the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Best in Real Estate Award and was a finalist for the Minnesota Construction Association Project Achievement Award.
